IGNOU Regular Study Centre(RSC) 2036<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

C-Edge College.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU)<\/em> provides distance education to various groups of people. IGNOU has provided opportunities to millions of learners in the past in acquiring higher education for career promotion and gainful employment. This is particularly an opportunity for those who wish to pursue or acquire additional educational qualifications, but does not have the time for full-time conventional classroom course study.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This distance education in sync with the motto of the University \u201cThe People\u2019s University\u201d is available to learners at their doorsteps. This facility has come to our doorsteps too with the activation of RSC 2036 at C-Edge College.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C-Edge College is located in Naga United Village which is in the outskirts of Dimapur.  It is about 12 kms away from Dimapur Town.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

C-Edge College has been approved to establish a IGNOU Regular Study Centre effective from July 2016 Session, for which admissions have started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Initially the following 7 Programs are being activated:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Bachelor\u2019s Preparatory Programme (BPP):<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    BPP is offered to those students who wish to do Bachelor\u2019s Degree of IGNOU but do not have the essential
    qualifications of having passed 10+2.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In the absence of such a qualifying certificate these students are deprived of higher education. To enable such
    students to enter higher education, IGNOU has designed this preparatory programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    However, BPP is not equivalent to 10+2 & is valid for admission to IGNOU\u2019s non-formal stream of BA\/B.COM<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Bachelor of Arts (BA):<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      This Programme is for those students who wish to complete their Bachelor\u2019s degree. Eligibility is 10+2 or its
      equivalent or BPP from IGNOU.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Masters of Arts in English (MEG):<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        The aim of MEG is to give the learners a sound understanding of English & American literatures and other new
        areas of literature. The learners would develop an understanding of English & other literatures of their choice
        in their historic- critical perspectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. Diploma in Creative Writing in English (DCE):<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          The Programme provides understanding, skills and professional knowledge in the art of imaginative writing in
          order to develop the creative ability of those interested in taking up writing as a career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          1. Certificate in Environmental Studies (CES):<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            The programme is useful to general public, at every age and at all levels of formal and non-formal education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            1. Certificate in Teaching of English as a Second Language (CTE):<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              This programme is based on the communicative approach to language teaching and is designed to enhance the
              teachers understanding of the learners, the learning process and the nature and structure of the English
              language.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              It will also help the teachers to innovate strategies for teaching the skills of listening, speaking, reading and
              writing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              1. CFE (Certificate In Functional English):<\/strong><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n

                The programme will improve the learner\u2019s proficiency in the English language.The objective of the programme
                is to give the learners practise in the skills of learning, speaking, reading, writing, communicative grammar and
                study skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                ADMISSIONS:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

                Interested individuals can take admission as IGNOU announced schedule. Prospectus is available with Coordinator, IGNOU,  C-Edge College. Cost: Rs 200\/- per copy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
